The Revolution!March 7 & 8, 2026. For the first time, we are adding this American Revolution event to our calendar. This event commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American War for Independence at Central (Talbert) Park, Huntington Beach, California. We will have a small camp and shade fly set up. We will gather in our various Revolutionary War 1770s attire. Fell free to show up in whatever representation you desire; Quakers, Dunmore's men, African-American Continental militia, Continental soldiers, Seamen, Craftsmen, Surveyors, Farmers, and etc. We will be providing a presentation about African Americans in the American Revolution.

African-Americans in the American Revolution by Lt. Col. Michael Lee Lanning. I highly recommend that anyone participating in this event with us reads this outstanding book. Chapter one will give you plenty of information to interact with visitors/spectators. |

Wild West DaysEarly August, 2026. Rio Rancho, Oak Glen, California. At this event we will be representing the Buffalo Soldiers. Any uniform worn by the Buffalo Soldiers from 1866 through the 1880s would be acceptable.

Autumn Civil War EncampmentNovember 7 & 8, 2026. Civil War Drill and Skirmish, Riley's Farm, Oak Glen, California.
I highly recommend attending this event. Fall foliage, deer grazing in the pumpkin patch, fresh apples, cool air in the mountains. This is their busiest time of year so we will get numerous visitors. All of the infantrymen and new recruits NEED to attend this event for basic drill training and practice. Camp set up is Friday, November 6th. Bring your own steak or other meat for dinner. Ghost stories and haunted tales around the campfire. Delicious treats in the evening as the owls hoot. Bring a coat. It is usually cold overnight. Military drill on Saturday morning. Two small skirmishes/battles on Saturday for those who qualify to participate. At 1 PM we will provide a U.S. Colored Troops presentation at our encampment. More details to be added as we get closer to the event date. Please make plans to be there. |
